4 Tips for Attracting More of What You Want
A tasty marinade to butter up your subconscious mind—so it manifests more for you.
What’s up people. Things are still busy here so this is coming at ya a little late!
Maybe it’s perfect timing though, because these tips are designed to help you unleash the manifesting power of your subconscious mind.
So, if you’re reading this before bed, your subconscious can stew on it overnight and be ready to kick things up a notch just in time for the start of the new week.
Sounds like a plan? Let’s roll.
Tip 1: Stop Looking at What You Lack
The #1 way to slow down the process of getting what you want is to focus on not having it. Trust me: I learned this the hard way.
For example, I spent my early 20s as a lonely single fella who was insecure about being single and borderline desperate not to be.
The result? I unintentionally pushed away almost any woman I was interested in.
I’ve also experienced this on social media: Starting out with <100 followers and feeling like a loser for not breaking into the 1,000+ club.
The result: Progress was slow and so painful that I gave up multiple times.
The solution I (finally) accepted was to do whatever it took to keep my focus off of what I lacked.
In other words, the only way to attract more of something is to appreciate the examples of it you already have – no matter how tiny or insignificant they may seem.
Tip 2: Act Like the Person Who Already Has It
Once you get your inner focus right, it’s time to revamp your outer behaviour. To do this, try imagining two people:
Person A has a story in their head that they “aren’t enough” and “don’t have enough” to experience the things they really want.
Person B has a story in their head that they are more than worthy and already have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
Now, imagine these two people going through their daily routines. What noticeable difference do you think you’d be able to see in their behaviour?
If you ask me, I’d guess Person A might not even have a daily routine. And if they do, they probably look stiff, stressed, and out of breath as they go through it.
But I bet Person B looks and sounds more confident and in-the-flow. They show up and take action on what they can control, and they don’t stop to worry about anything they can’t.
Your goal is to show up like Person B.
Tip 3: Marinate in Manifestational Teachings
Here’s the thing with subconscious patterns: They take time to be remolded. So, even after you start consistently speaking and acting like Person B, it’s likely that those old stories of lack and not-enoughness will come back to try and suck you in again.
One of the best ways I’ve found to break this cycle is by reading and/or listening to great spiritual and manifestational teachers.
This works because it lets you transplant their powerful, master-level thoughts right into your head…
And if you keep marinating in their ideas long enough, your subconscious will eventually add them to your permanent worldview—and kick out those crappy old stories to make room.
If you’re looking for recommendations, right now I can’t recommend highly enough anything written by Neville Goddard. I’ve been listening to him on Audible at least a few nights per week.
Some of my other faves in this department are Abraham-Hicks, Gay and Katie Hendricks, Tony Robbins, Jen Sincero, and Christie Marie Sheldon.
Tip 4: Find (And Invest In) Your Role Models
One thing I’ve observed in my time around high-performing, entrepreneurial, go-get-’em types is that these people aren’t shy about investing in themselves.
Once they’re clear on what they want, they start looking for people who have the background and experience to help them get there faster.
And once they find a role model, they don’t hesitate to invest in learning from that person (whatever that might look like).
One big caveat here, though, is that it’s important to not rush into these investments and let desperation impact your decisions.
For example, I’ve invested a lot in training to build my online business. That’s a story for another day, but let’s just say not all of those investments completely panned out.
However, now that I’ve had more time in the game and gotten clear on how I want to build my business, I’m starting to hone in more specifically on the right role models, and considering some new investments to get their help.
Aaand so, that’s a wrap on this one! I hope one or two of these tips strike a chord and help you take your manifesting game to a new level.
Until next week,
–Riley
